Peter Jacobs, head of crime intelligence (CI) at Bedeviled, has managed to maintain a full disciplinary process, underlined by dramatic allegations of crime and espionage, which could see him desperate.
An eleven-hour judicial challenge, just hours before the culmination of an expeditious hearing, bought Jacobs and five other high-ranking officers under his command a brief acknowledgment. They are accused of misconduct for having taken illegal use of the secret fund of Crime Intelligence to acquire personal protective equipment (PPE) Covid-19.
The aggression against the senior police, amid his claims that the allegations were part of a plot to get him fired for sweeping to close the graft and corruption in CI, has also attracted police Minister Bheki Cele and has put him at odds with police commissioner Khehla. Sitole.
