Last week, M-Net revealed that the coaching panel for The Voice South Africa Season 3 will include three hitmakers from a variety of backgrounds and music genres: a lavish male rapper and producer, an African gospel, a country and a pop and afro-chick soul diva.
Missing from a mix of rebellious rocker … and maybe a little more testosterone. No worries. The rock band leader Francois van Coke is the fourth season coach.
The award-winning Van Coca, who shook it – and was initially shocked – the African music scene with its distrustful alternative group Fokofpolisiekar, and then made more waves with the legendary Van Coca Kartel, joined Ricky Rick, Ryan Nel and Lori in icon icons red coaches for the third season of The Voice South Africa.
The latest local version of the world television phenomenon will be shown on M-Net 101 from February 3 at 5:30 pm, and Blind Auditions will be launched on November 21 in the new Urban Brev Studios in front of a live audience.
"Our new trainers are all drivers and lizards in their own spheres, and a mix of unique personalities brings a whole new chemistry into the show," says Lombard. "At the same time, they are built on the success of top 1 and 2 season coaches Kahn Morbee, Karen Zoid and Bobbi van Jaarsveld, whose passion and dedication to The Voice SA has launched several career opportunities."
If you want to see Riki Rik, Ryan Nel, Lira and Francois van Coke in action on pre-recorded Blind Auditions on November 21 and 22 as well as on November 26 and 27, book your places on mnet.tv / thevoice. The entrance is free, but reservation is essential.
