It was early in the morning when Claudia, her mother, heard some strange noises. He went to bed and checked out that Yazmin was his daughter, only 23 years old and who I was having convulsions. He was desperate, he did not know what to do, but it was a certainty: he had to act quickly. After lifting it, he went up to an act to bring it to the Pasteur Regional Hospital. Resava I asked God to help. But, half way down, the girl's heart did not endure anymore. Thus, suddenly, the life of Yazmin Março, provincial champion and national amateur and one of the great promises of boxing in Argentina, was over.
He was born on April 23, 1995 and was the third of five brothers: Milena, Oreste, Antonella and Tomàs, with whom he lived in the house of Vila María, Córdoba, his place in the world. Although it was never to get into trouble, the girl came to the fray. First with martial arts: Start kung fu and then kick boxing, Until you get the first donate and become an instructor.
Yazmin March was one of the great promises of boxing in Argentina.
It was days when it was customary to travel the 150 kilometers that separate in the town of the capital of Cordoba, where it began to become a name. Ah, and also a nickname that will accompany you forever: Hurricane. "I put it because it was strong and always was going forward, never conformed and went for more, very temperamental and demanding with herself. A complete sportsman. I remember that one day, looking for a nickname, I'll go Say: "Do you like Hurricane"? "She replied that yes, and he was staying," explained Hugo Vilches, his first coach.
Yazmin and Hugo Vilchs, their first coach.
But this gale always he fought her from behind on drugsAn addiction against which he was always at a disadvantage. And that is why in mid-2016, after a few years distributing training and time between Córdoba and Buenos Aires, he decided to go back to Vila Maria, to be close to his family, his friends, to heal -se And it's not just a way to say: assuming he had a problem, he sought therapeutic help.
While following the recommendations of the doctors, he seduced the idea of wearing his gloves and climbing the ring. All in all, without having thought of it before, the boxing became part of his life. A very important part. On April this year, in fact, he participated in the National Women's Championship, in Alta Gràcia, where he devoted champions in the category up to 69 kilos. And on August 17, he was crowned provincial champion (the belt was vacant), at Club Unió, after defeating the Cordova Alexia Gigena unanimously.
Everything seemed to improve in his life. he was happy. And, from yapa, he received the call to integrate Les Toritas, the Argentine boxing coach. The hope of traveling to Venezuela, where the Continental would take place, however, did not last long. But despite staying out he was not baffled. On the contrary: he continued to train without rest. And in October he received his prize: he was cited again and confirmed for the team that participated in the World Cup in New Delhi, India, last November.
Unstoppable, he alternated gym hours and gloves with the study: he attended the Physical Education Teaching Staff at the Instituto Santísima Trinidad. In addition, he had the coordination of a gym in a renowned hotel located on the outskirts of the city and shared tasks in a workshop related to the prevention and inclusion in the sport for athletes looking to dash different addictions. And in addition, he began to enjoy being recognized by his neighbors in the street.
"People tell me that I am making history. Never has this been said that an amateur villamariense boxer go to a World Cup. And much less a woman, "he explained, with a huge smile, to The Diary of Vila Maria.
Yazmin along with his companions of Les Toritas, the Argentine selected.
He dreamed of winning the Gold Medal at the World Cup, but he had to represent the country in a category superior to that of his natural weight and ended up fighting in up to 75 kilos and not at up to 69, where he was best exercised . On November 17 he debuted at the international level against Myagmarjargal Munkhbat of Mongolia, in his only fight at the AIBA 2018 Women's World Championship, which was held at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall IG Stadium in New Delhi. However, his real fight was far from the interviews, the flashes, the acknowledgments. Patia relapsed, days when I was under guard. "Yazmin received her after her help and made an extraordinary change, started boxing, doing classes and studying. We were happy with what I was living in. But there are people who seem to be cured and they are never definitively, "explained Dr. Julio Tabárez, the head of the workshop attended by Yaz, when the news about his death was recently known. And added: "Before each relapse we had to start again. We know it's like this. This is not cured with an antibiotic as if it were a pneumonia."
