Police in Adelaide on Monday morning ended up with Holden Commodore on the roof.
After 3.00, the police stopped the car at South Rd in Mile End for faulty back lamps.
The driver, a 27-year-old man from Modbur North, reportedly fled while the officer went to his car.
It is further alleged that he turned right at Henlei Beach Rd and drove the vehicle to the roof, hitting gas and water.
Both the driver and passenger, a 23-year-old Hillcrest woman, were taken to the Roial Adelaide hospital with minor injuries.
Police are investigating a couple and a man is expected to be indicted later on today with multiple traffic violations, including driving without due attention and driving without a permit.
