Just in time for the (Western) season, Instagram is further expanding its purchases on the platform. Early this year, Instagram added significant purchases to its food, which was expanded to Stories by June this year. Now Instagram has it announced three new product updates for this feature.
Instagram said that soon users will be able to buy videos that they see in their feed, put them in a specific "shopping collection" in their saved posts, and they can also buy from their business profiles more easily.
In fact, so far Instagram allows business profiles to label their products only in the feeds on Feed and Stories, however, with a new upgrade, they can do so in video feeds in their Feed.
Then there is a new collection area, which you will be able to access on the Saved Messages tab. Part, as we see in Instagram blog post, It looks a lot like an online store, except that it only lists those things that you really like and have kept. Marking a shopping post will also add your favorite look to this section.
In addition, Instagram will also allow users to click on stories or videos about Stories or Feed, which gives them more information about the product.
Finally, there are some changes in business profiles, so all of their jobs will be organized under a new button "shop". In this way, users can treat a business page more like a web store where everything is available for purchase.
Interestingly, in addition to Instagram's shopping move, Snapchat is also aggressively shopping, buying ads in Stories and partnering with Amazon.
