While Karl Stefanovic's TV career has hit a wall, his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn's is just getting started.
And ahead of the 47-year-old's appearance on Dancing With the Stars this year, insiders say Karl, 44, is fuming.
According to a report in Woman's Day magazine on Monday, Karl is frustrated, his television career has stalled following his firing from the Today show in December.

Meanwhile, Cassandra's TV career is only picking up momentum after she was cast in the Ten Network series.
'It will be the ultimate slap in the face for Karl to see Cass on TV looking fitter than she's ever been. And trust me, I'll be raging behind closed doors. How the tables have turned! ' the source told Woman's Day.

According to the report, Karl is worried his career is over but over, making it especially painful for him to watch Cassandra on TV.
In an interview with The Daily Telegraph last week, Cassandra said she had a very personal reason for signing on for the show.
She said her late father encouraged her to do it during one of their final conversations together before her death in October.

'And I thought "OK so let's go for it"'. Plus learning to dance, you know every girl would love to learn to dance. It's so lovely, what a skill. '
