Prior to the Bangladesh Cricket Board elections, 32 people have bought candidacy papers. However, only 23 directors will be elected from the three categories. Needless to say, if all goes well, there will be a fierce battle in all three categories. With the exception of 4 people who have been directors for 8 years on the previous two boards, almost all former incumbents have bought candidacy papers. Also, the new face is quite scattered. In particular, Nazmul Abedin Fahim has challenged Khaled Mahmud Sujan, a former board director who has been proven and strong in category 3. In addition, Naimur Rahman has two opponents in the category 2 district division. Khaled Masood Pilot is the new face of Rajshahi division in this category. He challenged Saiful Alam Swapan Chowdhury, who was director of the previous council of the same department. Fahim Sinha, Masuduzzaman, Obaid Rashid Nizam are also the new faces of the Category 2 Club. In his farewell speech as twice president of the BCB, Nazmul Hasan Papon announced the opening of the elections. He didn’t even announce his own panel. The former BCB president said the decision was made in the hope that a new face would come. He said: ‘I am very happy that so many new faces have appeared. I saw several new faces on the first day of getting nominations. Today I saw a lot of things on the last day. I welcome newcomers.
