Afsca resembles eggs contaminated with PCBs

Organic breeding of laying hens has revealed contamination with polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) during control. Consumers are asked not to consume these eggs and return them to the store.

Exceeding the regulatory standard in PCB was stressed on Monday, and raising laying hens was blocked Tuesday, Afsca says. The investigation will have to determine the origin of contamination.

Eggs from this company are also blocked in all institutions and companies that hold them. They were expelled from the sale.

PCBs are organic pollutants that are present in the environment and are harmful to humans, Afsca says.
