Diabetes affects almost 9% of the Brazilian population. This means that about 13 million people have a disease. It is caused by a lack of insulin production, which depends on the level of glucose in the body.
However, what many people are not aware of and that this disease – which has already become common – can be the cause of acquired defects throughout life, such as visual impairment, amputation, severe kidney problems, and even growth deficits.
In the light of the World Diabetes Day, November 14th, we prepared a special case from this perspective from the perspective of people who had some sort of accidental disability.
On occasion, we present the challenges and prejudices faced by people in this capacity, in addition to resolving some of the rights of diabetics.
Watch and share, because quality information will always be the best way to prevent and care for our health.
