American actor John Travolta sells a house the size of a 20-room hotel and seven bathrooms for five million dollars. The property was purchased thirty years ago by Travolta and his wife, Kelly Preston, who died of cancer last year.
The couple acquired the property on Iceborough Island, Maine, shortly after their wedding in 1991, with the idea of having enough space for their relatives at family reunions.
The house was built in 1903 for the family of a banker. The property, on which stands the house with a total of 42 rooms, has rich vegetation and extends to the shore of Sabatbey Bay.
The three-story building has a library, theater, classroom and some of the rooms are children’s themed rooms, such as Peter Pan’s room and the princess’s room. Actress Kirsty Ali, who also owns a farm on the island, once showed the house of John Travolta and Kelly Preston.
Actress Preston died last July of breast cancer at the age of 57. She and Travolta have three children: Jet, Ella Blue and Benjamin. Her eldest son, Jet, died in January 2009 at the age of 16.
