Approximately 20 children sank to the LaSalle school

Emergency crews rushed to a primary school in LaSalle on Monday, when about 20 children fell bad suddenly.

Children, from 6 to 13 years of age, are students at Ecole des Decouvreurs, next to Riverside Park, near the 39th Ave. 35th Ave. at LaSalle.

The incident occurred at 11:00 a.m. On Monday, and all children showed signs of nausea, dizziness and vomiting.

At least three ambulances were sent to the school to treat and evaluate the sick students in the scene.

School officials have evacuated the school and healthy students were transferred to the Notre Dame des Rapides School, which is about 400 m away.

"Some children start throwing, vomiting, throwing, and not feeling well about 30 children and thus they closed the school," said the mother of some students.

"There are a couple of children in the school cabin, and the others who sent to the school there. "

The authorities try to find out exactly why the children were ill. They currently consider that it was a gas leak, although no work was done near Ecole des Decouvreurs on Monday.

Parents will receive a letter and an email, with details of what happened.
