EDMONTON: The Edmonton Oilers acquired defenses Alexander Petrovic from Florida Panthers on Sundays in exchange for blue-liner Chris Wideman and a third-round conditional selection in the 2019 NHL Draft.
Petrovic, 26 has an attendance in 26 matches with Florida this season.
Petrovic has appeared in 254 NHL matches during her five-year career, publishing 49 points (five goals, 44 assists).
Edmonton was originally selected by Florida in the second round, number 36 in the 2010 NHL Draft.
Wideman, 28, has two assists in five games with Oilers this season, as he was transferred to Edmonton from Senators in Ottawa last month.
Wideman has 16 goals and 27 assists in 175 games of the NHL race, mainly with Ottawa. It was drafted by the senators in the fourth round of 2009.
