A WestJet plane that left the Edmonton International Airport for Victoria left the shooting road Friday night.

In an e-mail statement, WestJet spokeswoman Lauren Stewart said flight 173 left the wheel because of ice conditions.

Stewart said neither of the guests nor the crew were injured. All have been expelled and returned to the terminal of the airport by bus.

The flight has been canceled and 55 guests have been booked to fly on Friday night to Victoria from Calgary.

The remaining 22 passengers will be booked on Saturday morning.
