The natural evolution of the notch is the drilling hole. All this can be explained by the search for a smartphone that is full screen. Well, at least, get as close as possible. The bevels, as we know them, are a thing of the past, and we have to get used to smartphones that have magazines or holes on their screens, only to maximize the real estate values of the screen and the proportion of face-to-face Samsung and Huawei directly compete to become the first manufacturer to announce a smartphone with a drill hole for the camera on its screen.
However, the holes in the screen do not necessarily have to be all about the camera. According to a recently presented ZTE patent, the manufacturer of the phone is considering a screen cut that will host the handset. In this way, ZTE could eliminate the upper bezel and approach the smartphone on the screen. The drawings in the presentation of patents do not reveal a front camera, which can mean that the phone does not have any or that could be behind the screen, which is even more exciting and pushing the envelope.
The usual advice of skepticism must be said: just because there is a patent, it does not mean that we will see a product commercially like this, soon. What it means, however, is that ZTE is considering it.
