Undersecretary of Public Health, Paula Daza, confirmed that a 48,000 dose of yellow fever vaccine was arrived at the country this weekend.
The vaccine, which is obligatory to travel to countries where the disease is present, such as Brazil, will be distributed during the first days of January, according to La Tercera, after being verified by the Institute of Public Health (ISP).
At the Les Comtes Clinic there are already more than two thousand applications to vaccinate, while at the German Clinic and the UC Christus Network, they will wait to open it to open their vaccinations.
People who are not vaccinated need to do it only once and, according to medical recommendations, 10 days before traveling. Those who had previously vaccinated do not require to do so again.
