Chain Farmacias Ahumada introduces a "process of transformation" in which is considering closing fifty local businesses, which will include mass layoffs affiliates of American Valgreens.
This Tuesday, through a statement, Farmacias Ahumada confirmed that they gave "start today the transformation process that seeks to adapt the organization to current needs their patients and clients and face the challenges of the industry better. "
"The plan looks at the separation and closure of pharmacies and stores across the country. Farmacias Ahumada needs to focus and master his structure and focuses on his core business: health, beauty and wellness in one place, "he added.

As it was announced on Tuesday Diario Financiero, the firm will close 50 of its 424 locations across the country, a situation that – according to media sources – has already been reported to trade unions.
The chain bought Alliance Boots in 2014 for a total of $ 640 million, however, the British company was later bought by American Valgreens.
