La Guajira will produce wind energy for the country Ecology

The National Environmental Licensing Authority (ANLA) has delivered the first license for the production of a wind farm for the project "Alpha Vind Generation" to be developed in La Guajira.

Rodrigo Suarez Castano, director of ANLA, stressed that the project will work 65 wind turbines or turbines and an electrical sub-station that will collect energy from the wind farm, and then connect to the national transmission system.

The director of ANLA stated that the permit for issuing the license was delivered approval of autochthonous communities who reside in the village of Limoncito in Maicao municipality.

This becomes the first wind energy project in which ANLA is participating and is currently processing other environmental permit applications for two wind farm projects and three solar energy.

According to the commitment of President Ivan Dukue at the Workshop "Building the country" in Uribia, in which he assured that he would increase the participation of non-conventional renewable energy in the country at least 10%, 10 projects of the same type are needed.
