Visočina – The Visočina region will require hundreds of millions of people who want to use it for the construction or modernization of regional roads.
European funds from the Integrated Regional Operational Program should be for six expensive transport infrastructure projects. Approximately 830 million kronor should support the special bypass Velky Beranov, as well as Stritz – Stepanovice. "We are trying to send as many projects as possible, there is a lot of competition between the region, and there are some money from the state fund for transport infrastructure," explained Deputy Governor Vladimir Novotny.
The administration has confirmed that the tour of Great Berane, which costs 650 million, will continue to be the largest public contract. "It's the biggest road work of the Visočina region so far. It's obvious that the Jihlava will be a bit more expensive and bigger," Novotni said. The public call was issued and an evaluation commission was appointed. Spring next year should begin construction, and by the end of 2020 drivers could ride around the bypass.
In May next year, construction works for Stritz – Stepanovica section, which will cost about 100 million kronor, should begin. Other investment projects in traffic are planned, with a total amount of HRK 188 million, according to Deputy Minister Pavel Franko.
However, the administration plans to submit more applications for European subsidies this year. "Until December 21, when the deadline for submission of applications expires, the Visočina region plans to apply for support for the implementation of another 12 projects in preparation. We would like to get 2.3 billion crowns for projects that will be implemented in the next two to three years" , said Jiri Behounek, Executive Director of Visočina region.
