On Friday, Mercedes-Benz's largest Indian luxury car car launched a new CLS – four-speed coupe, now in the third generation, at a price of 84.7 lakh, a former showroom, all over India. The new CLS 300 d is the first car to include a new philosophy of Mercedes-Benz design called "sensual purity" in the body of the coupe. It is powered by a 1950cc BS-VI diesel engine that generates a maximum power of 180kV (241bhp) and a torque of 500Nm (1600-2400rpm), accelerating the car from 0-100kph in just 6.4 seconds. The maximum speed is 250 km / h.
(Coupe is a car with a fixed-roof body, usually with two doors, but the CLS has four doors with a rope roof roof on the rear.)
The CLS interiors are remarkably redesigned with a 12.3-inch high-resolution digital cockpit display with three display styles – Classic, Sporti and Progressive – along with next-generation telematics, which includes Audio 20 with NTG 5.5 (audio interface companies). Ambient lighting of 64 colors along with illuminated ventilation opening is another culmination of the cabin. The vehicle offers the integration of smartphones, supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlai. It comes with multifunctional LED lights with adaptive auxiliary light, 18-inch alloy wheels and electric sliding roof with safe closing function (the technology closes the roof hatch / windows when the system sensors detect movements indicating the possibility of overturning, the small hole is left close closed position).
Michael Jopp, Vice President Sales and Marketing of Mercedes-Benz India, said: "The new well-known CLS's new design idiom of Mercedes-Benz, recognizable by clear contours and reduced lines and blends flawlessly in the current Mercedes-Benz coupe family. … with this we continue the production offensive with the 12th launch in 2018. We have an exciting line for 2019. "
The company's Indian product range includes locally manufactured Mercedes Maibach S 560, S-Class, E-Class, C-Class, CLA Luxury Saloon and GLA, GLE and GLS luxury SUVs.
