Road to the Grand Slam
It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means! After the well-known introduction, Jim Ross welcomes us to the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City, with Tony Schiavone and Excalibur by his side as always. Welcome to “AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam.” The team of commentators reviews tonight’s match card and there is a feeling of pay-per-view on the air, because the opener is Bryan Danielson’s debut in the AEW ring against the world champion of the AEW, Kenny Omega.
(Untitled): individual match
AEW world champion Kenny Omega (with Don Callis) and Bryan Danielson finished in a limited time draw.
Match time: 30:00
– As soon as the bell rang, the audience fell into a thunderous applause from the two opponents in the ring.
– Omega and Bryan also fought around the ring and down the entry ramp during the match, where Danielson had to take a Snap Dragon Suplex from AEW world champion.
– The initial applause increased in volume and intensity with each passing minute of the fight.
After the bell rang, “The American Dragon” and “The Cleaner” did not let go of each other, so Danielson brought Omega to the Rebel Lock. Then the elite entered the ring and separated them. The Young Bucks launched another attack on Danielson, with which Christian Cage and Jungle Boy saved.
The next huge pop is due to the sound of Living Colors “Cult Of Personality”. CM Punk enters the ring in the face of reactions that are by no means inferior to those in Chicago and says he is happy not to have to fight now. One could not imagine how one could go better after this match, let alone continue with normalcy. It had been quite some time since he had last been to New York City, but he was an old CM punk. “The Best in the World” talks about Team Taz and its attack over the past week. You’ve hit him cowardly and from behind, but that will have consequences. When punk takes to the stage and starts his music, all his frustrations are impressed and he feels happy. He had gone too long and felt he needed it too long. On Friday, in AEW Rampage: Grand Slam, he will send Powerhouse Hobbs to sleep while the entire stadium roars with his enema music. CM Punk Mic Drop! Leaving the lobby, CM Punk stops at the ring barrier and hugs his “Heels” series partner and Hollywood star Stephen Amell, who had a seat in the front row.
MJF (with Wardlow) won against Brian Pillman Jr. (with Julia Hart) by posing on a bracelet.
Match time: 09:30
Commentators deliver Alex Marvez backstage and the camera moves to the interview board, where he is ready with his two guests, Chris Jericho and Jake Hager. The question of the evening? What should members of the Inner Circle have to say about the challenge of Dan Lampert and The Men of the Year, Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky? Hager believes the two are just two lousy bullies and Jericho promises to lend them a hand that even King Haku in Japan would be proud of.
Malakai Black won against Cody (with Arn Anderson and Brandi Rhodes) using a pin in an inner cradle after chasing Cody’s face with black paint.
Match time: 11:11
– Brandi Rhodes not only showed the Dutchman what he thought of him with both middle fingers. For the public, however, the old Tommy End was clearly over.
A TNT Championship match between Miro and Sammy Guevara has been announced for next week’s edition in Rochester, New York, before a video package is played on the dispute between the Bulgarian and the “Spanish Sex God “.

Sting & Darby Allin gewannen gegen The Pinnacle: FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) (starring Tully Blanchard) through the presentation of Dax Harwood im Scorpion Death Lock durch Sting.
Match time: 09:30
– Before finishing, Cash Wheeler tried to stretch his partner’s hand against the rope of the ring, but Darby Allin showed the coffin drop to Wheeler, causing Dax to drop Harwood.
Then, the video clip of the main event of the night, the match of the AEW Women’s World Championship between Ruby Soho and Dr. Britt Baker DMD Before seeing it, however, commentators unveiled the match card for the second Grand Slam show, the two-hour special edition of Rampage, on Friday.
