Gazprom raises gas prices in Europe

Shortly before the end of the project, gas prices in Europe will rise sharply. It is no coincidence.

Moscow Stocks in Europe’s gas tanks are dwindling. Austria’s natural gas storage facilities, for example, are as empty as ever; according to the Austrian Energy Agency, they are currently only 30 per cent full, while on average they are two-thirds full. Also in Germany, gas stocks are well below normal.

This has an effect on prices: at $ 484 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas, spot prices of raw materials at the TTF (Title Transfer Facility) virtual trading point in the Netherlands reached a new all-time high. August futures were even higher, at $ 491 per 1,000 cubic feet of gas. The FTT is one of the most important trading points for natural gas in Europe, as the volume traded here is extremely high.
