He came to a fire on Saturday night on Am Liener Hörn Street. Shortly before three and a half, the fire department was alerted. When emergency services arrived at the fire scene, all residents and two dogs in the apartment building had already been rescued. Nobody was hurt, as the police confirmed on Saturday morning.
On the second floor a floor in total extension was burned. The flames were already coming out of the window when the fire department approached. Four troops suffered a great respiratory protection in the house against the flames, according to a press release from the fire department. However, the fire had already advanced so far at this time that an extension to the attic could no longer be avoided.
Extinction work was carried out after the roof covering, from the outside through an aerial scale. The fire brigades Elsfleth, Neuenfelde and Sandfeld were deployed with a total of about 60 work groups.
The damage to the house is estimated at 300,000 euros, according to the police. The building is uninhabitable and confiscated. The inhabitants are housed with family or acquaintances. Four of the five apartments were occupied. The cause of the fire is still unclear.
