Red-green-red loses the majority in the City Council in Dresden

Strike at the City Council in Dresden. The current majority of left, green and SPDs are passports. The reason for this is the resignation of three City Councils from the SPD. Thomas Blumel, Peter Bartels and Christian Bosl turned to their old colleagues and, together with the independent city council, Jan Kaboth, formed a new group of citizens.

This was a long-term process, said Thomas Blumel MDR Saxony, especially in terms of co-operation in the SPD's parliamentary group since the departure of Christian Avenarius as CEO. So, someone disagreed, how to deal with other factions outside of the majority. The concern of the new faction is now to break the split in the city council and again allow a little normality to collect and listen, Blumel.

According to Thomas Blumel, the establishment of a parliamentary group, already registered with Mayor Dirk Hilbert (FDP), means that there is no longer a majority that can "rule". The former majority, in his view, no longer listened to the concerns of other groups

The chambers complain of criticism of their step in the leftist faction: "The three city councils that lost SPD's confidence now are, after they do not run for city council candidates, suddenly make a search against their party, the Return of our city, this is irresponsible "says Group CEO Thomas Feske:
