Koronovios – Hellenic police checks: 1,593 rapes and 24 arrests Monday – “Rains” fines | HELLO



Hellenic police services are conducting intensive checks across the country to implement measures to prevent and limit the spread of coronavirus.

Yesterday Monday, January 11, 75,232 inspections were conducted across the country, of which 8,667 at Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”.

A total of 1,593 infractions and 24 arrests were confirmed, as follows:

· 1,235 traffic infractions and an equal number of fines of 300 euros were imposed, as follows:

  • (499) in Attica,
  • (114) in Thessalonica,
  • (107) in Crete,
  • (68) in Central Greece,
  • (66) in western Greece,
  • (60) a Epirus,
  • (54) in Central Macedonia,
  • (53) in Thessaly,
  • (52) in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace,
  • (45) in the Peloponnese,
  • (40) in the northern Aegean,
  • (34) in the Ionian Islands,
  • (24) in the southern Aegean i
  • (19) in western Macedonia.

Since the entry into force of the measure (November 7), a total of 77,177 similar violations have been confirmed.

· 342 infractions for not using a mask, etc. related infractions and 332 fines of 300 euros and 10 of 150 euros were imposed, as follows:

  • (115) in Attica,
  • (27) in Central Greece,
  • (26) in Central Macedonia,
  • (26) in the north of the Aegean,
  • (24) in Crete,
  • (24) in western Greece,
  • (23) in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace,
  • (23) in the Peloponnese,
  • (20) in Thessalonica,
  • (11) in Thessaly,
  • (9) in the Ionian Islands,
  • (6) in the southern Aegean,
  • (5) in Western Macedonia i
  • (3) a Epirus,

Since the entry into force of the new measures (November 7), a total of 27,535 similar infringements have been confirmed and 26,122 administrative fines of 300 euros and 1,413 of 150 euros have been imposed.

· 15 infractions and 24 arrests for rules of operation of shops, private companies, etc. violations of relevant legislation (prohibition of operation, non-use of mask, percentage of square meters per person, etc.).

In the previous cases, the following administrative fines were imposed for violating the suspension of the operation, etc. related infringements of the relevant provisions, namely:

In Attica,

  • arrest of (17) people for participating in illegal games, imposition of a fine of 5,000 euros on the owner of the site, as well as imposition of (17) and (15) fines of 300 for violation of traffic restrictions and not use a mask respectively.
  • arrest of a responsible brothel and temporary work, imposing a fine of 3,000 euros on temporary managers and 300 euros on (3) customers for violating the traffic restriction.
  • arrest and imposition of a fine of 5,000 euros on a hairdressing owner and from 300 euros on (2) customers for violation of the traffic restriction.
  • arrest and imposition of a fine of 5,000 euros on a cafeteria owner and 300 euros on (3) customers for non-compliance with a traffic restriction.

In western Greece,

  • 3,000 euros to the temporary manager of the cafeteria and 300 euros to (2) customers for violation of the traffic restriction.
  • 5,000 euros to a retail store and 300 euros to a customer for traffic restriction.
  • 3,000 euros to the temporary manager of the cafeteria.

Crete,

  • 5,000 euros to a beauty center and 300 euros to a client for violating the traffic restriction.
  • 10,000 euros in a hotel restaurant-bar and 300 euros to (4) customers for violation of the traffic restriction.

In Thessaly, 3,000 euros to a street vendor.

In all other cases, fines related to violations of relevant legislation (unnecessary movement, disuse of mask, etc.).

Since the implementation of the new measures (November 7), a total of 707 similar offenses have been confirmed and 791 people have been arrested.

In addition to private meetings and other related infractions,

  • In Thessaloniki, an arrest and a fine of 3,000 euros to an organizer of a private meeting at home and 300 euros to (3) participants for violation of the traffic restriction.
  • In Central Macedonia, a fine of 3,000 euros to a private organizer of meetings at home and 300 euros to (2) participants for violating a traffic restriction.

Finally, an infringement (1) was confirmed for non-compliance with the electronic form PLF (PassengerLocatorForm) by a traveler. Since the entry into force of the new measures (November 7), a total of (35) similar infringements have been confirmed.

Inspections continue with a minimum intensity for the protection of public health.
