"The club extends the deepest sympathy for the families of Birne & McCarnei." Eoin can rest peace. "
Eoin's football side also expressed respect: "Everyone in the Parkville United Football Club wants to send their condolences to the families of Birne and McCarney on the heart and devastating passage of Eoin Birne today.
"Eoin was a Parkville player, winning trophies at levels U14, U16 and U18, which was part of our men's premiere, was a passionate GAA player and a qualified boxer.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with his family."
His high school Colaiste Eoin honored his students.
"We were shocked and deeply saddened when six-year-old Eoin Birne passed.
