The British company Lotus has launched a new model with the Latvian name Evija (pronounced Evai). Develops 2000 CV and sucks the most powerful electric series in the world.
Evija is a two-door coupé equipped with four electric motors and a battery of 70 kWh that provides a reserve of operation of about 400 km. With a load station of 350 kW, 80% of the energy can be recovered in 12 minutes, while a full cycle lasts 18 minutes.
The manufacturer claimed that 100 km / h Evija reaches 3 seconds, since much more will be needed to accelerate to 200 km / h and 300 km / h, but only the heavy coupe of 1680 kg has a maximum speed of 340 km / h.
The Evija design includes five driving modes: range, city, route, sport and track. Active aerodynamic elements, unlocked elevator door (remote opening) and extensible rear view cameras mounted on the front wings.
Lotus Evija is the first model made by the British company over the past 11 years. The company reveals that production will begin in 2020, with a total of 150 copies and a price of at least 1.86 million euros for each car.
Recall that the British sports car manufacturer is now owned by the Chinese investment group Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, which also owns the Swedish company Volvo.
