A few tens of thousands of people went to desires in hundreds

Latvian eternal cake hit more than one kilometer to All-Latvia! – "Fatherland and Freedom" / LNNK (VL-TB / LNNK), the agency said.

A few tens of thousands of people came to the march and, for example, at the beginning of the event, a laurel from the National Theater arrived outside the main building of the University of Latvia. According to the organizers' estimates, this year's torch has gathered around 20,000 participants.

Most participants walk on the silence page or talk to each other, but the walk organizers also provided musical accompaniment. Walkers were followed by songs such as "I've come to shoot", "Laimdotas dziesma" and others.

"I will definitely say: if the founders of the Latvian state had seen hundreds of years of respect on November 18th, they would be proud, which was the only possible thanks to all of us." The throat was a one-time thing: it is safe to say that we had the greatest desire in Europe in the celebration of the Latin birthday "said Raivis Dzintars, President of the VL-TB / LNNK.

This year the pedestrian route was changed – the procession began at the monument of Ulmanis, but continued along the monument of Freedom and Latvian national opera and ballet. After that, the direction of the celebration was on November 11th, but the concert ends at the Latvian National Theater, in which Latvia was founded 100 years ago.

According to VL-TB / LNNK, a flame campaign of November 18 began in 2003 at that time as a commitment to the state of Latvia on the anniversary of the establishment of All-Latvia! Every year, this procession gathers more and more members, and since 2005 it has reached several thousand. Since 2013, the number of participants has exceeded 10,000. According to the organizers, last year, around 18,000 participants took part last year.

Today marks the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Latvia. The Republic of Latvia was proclaimed on November 18, 1918, at 16 in the Second Citi Theater, now at the National Theater of Latvia.
