Dovicioso wins victory at the MotoGP final stage in Valencia


Italian motorcyclist Andrea Dovicioso of the Ducati unit won the winner at the final World Motorcycle Championship in the 19th season – the Grand Prix in the most prestigious MotoGP class of Valencia.

Alekis Rink of Suzuki Ecstar went into second position behind Dovicios on Sunday, while third place Pols Espargaro from Red Bull KTM Factori Racing third. In the meantime, the fourth was the second Italian driver Mikkel Pirro of Dukat, Spanish Pedrosa Dani Pedros of Repsol Honda was fifth, while Japanese Takai Nakagami of LCR Honda Idemitsu closed the first six.

The final phase was chaotic because only 15 drivers had completed it. During the race there was heavy rains, and as a result, another 13 athletes fell and did not finish.

Among the non-finalists was also the current world champion Mark Markes of Spain, representing Repsol Honda. On October 1, he was crowned champion.

Overall, Markess scored 321 points this season, while Dovicioso took second place with 245 points, while legendary Valentino Rossi from Movistar Yamaha finished third with 198 points.

Markess is the fifth world champion and winner of the MotoGP class in the last three years. He joined the most prestigious class in 2013 and became a champion in his first season.
