ROME (Reuters) – Roma will pay 150,000 euros to Liverpool's Shav Coka family, who attacked fans of the Italian club last April in the Champions League semi-finals.
"What happened to Shaun Cox should not happen to anyone watching a soccer match," said Jim Balot's club president in a statement, citing the 53-year-old Irish who were attacked by Roma supporters on their way to Liverpool's Anfield stadium. And it hurts from bruises in the skull, prevents him from speaking or sitting alone. "We are a very respected gift from Rome, especially the great help that is being proposed for years of suffering that Sean is preparing to do," said Martina Sean.
Financial assistance is associated with "other fund raising initiatives," according to the Italian club.
