The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait maintained their position as the top three markets in the Middle East region, with total sales recording 54% in the Kingdom, 17% in the United Arab Emirates United and 15% in Kuwait, thus consolidating its position as Ford’s most vital market. In 2020, Transit surpassed its competitor in second place by 139% to get 38% of the full-size van category.
With this, Ford maintained the lead in commercial van sales in the United States for 42 consecutive years, with total sales in 2020 reaching 203,153 vehicles.
In the Middle East region, Transit continued to achieve strong regional sales during the year, registering more than 80% growth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and strong sales performance in the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.
