Miley Cyrus, Gerard Butler, Neil Ioung Lose Homes – Variety

Massive fires that continued to rage in California forced hundreds of thousands of people in Southern California to evacuate from their homes. Miley Cyrus, Gerard Butler and Neil Ioung are among those whose houses in the Malibu area were destroyed by the Voulsei fire.

Famous figures, including LADY GAGA, Kim Kardashian West, Rainn Wilson and Alissa Milano, left the houses during the weekend to avoid unpleasant winds.

Cirus said it was "completely destroyed by fire that affected my community." She encouraged people to help with efforts to provide donations and supplies to organizations such as the California Fire and Red Cross Fund.

"I'm one of the lucky ones," she wrote on Twitter. "My animals and PEOPLE MY LIFE have done it safe and that's all that's important right now. My house is no longer standing, but memories shared with family and friends are strong."

Butler shared a photo on Instagram on the burned remains of his home Malibu and thanked the Los Angeles Angeles Fire Department for their service. "He returned to my house in Malibu after evacuation. Happy weather in California, inspired as always courage, spirit and sacrifice of firefighters," he wrote.

In a message on his website, Yang said he hoped that catastrophic fires would encourage people to take action on the impact of climate change.

"Firefighters never saw anything like this in life. I heard that, he said countless times in the past two days, and I lost my home before the California fire, now another," he wrote. "We hope that together we can come together as a nation that needs climate change, we have tools, and we can do it if we try. There are no shortcomings."

Robin Thicke has released a statement on Instagram to express gratitude for volunteers and firefighters. "As we drove safely, we risked our lives trying to save our home. We are safe and surrounded by family and friends," he wrote.

Caitlin Jenner's house Malibu survived the fire, despite TMZ's report on Friday, which said it was burned. She posted a video in Instagram on Sunday night to share that her property was incomplete. "It was ruinous here in Malibu," Jenner said. "You see that the hills are completely crushed."
