Morning – 17 dead and 1,675 injured in one week



Seventeen people were killed and 1,675 injured, including 60 seriously, in 1,275 traffic accidents that occurred in the urban perimeter during the week of October 29 to November 4, 2018.

These accidents are mostly due to driver inadequacy, failure to comply with priority, pedestrian failures, acceleration, change direction without warning, lack of vehicle control, stopping, unauthorized change of direction, traffic to the left, traffic lightness, alcohol driving, traffic in a prohibited direction and the transfer is authorized, says the statement of the Directorate General for National Security (DGSN).

Regarding the control and punishment of criminal offenses, Security Services recorded 32,020 tickets and made 10,136 minutes filed with the prosecution, while 21,884 fines were renewed, the statement said.

DGNS further notes that the received amounts amounted to 4,865,925 MAD, highlighting the municipality's loading of 4,671 vehicles, seizing 5,345 documents and withdrawing a circulation of 120 vehicles.
