The Nigerian team won third place in the African Nations Cup (Egypt-2019), after the 1-0 victory over Tunisia in qualifying Wednesday in Cairo.
The only goal of the meeting was the work of Central Super Eagles striker, Odion Lghalo, from the start of the game (third), offering victory to his team and third place in the competition. Nigeria was eliminated from CAN in the semifinal against Algeria, which ended with a 2-1 defeat to the Super Eagles, while Tunisia abandoned the competition after losing (1-0) against Senegal.
The CAN final will face Algeria and Senegal this Friday at the International Cairo Stadium, which has already been played in the group stage of the tournament. In fact, on June 27, Algeria defeated Senegal (1-0) at the stage of June 30 in Cairo, on behalf of Group C.
