The seven-day average also increases from 292 infections to 326 infections. In the last 24 hours, it has been reported that a regional colleague has been found at RIVM: someone from Molenlanden. A Rotterdam regional colleague was also hospitalized.
According to the RIVM, there is a “fall increase.” “The expected rise in coronavirus fall seems to have begun,” the RIVM concludes. More crown is also found in sewer measurement and infection radar, where people fill what they feel, more people with crown complaints are measured.
3,746 new positive tests have been reported to the RIVM as of 10 a.m. this morning. That’s 843 more than on Tuesday and is the highest number since July 27th.
On Wednesdays and Thursdays, the number of positive tests is almost always higher than the rest of the week. This is because people get fewer tests over the weekend and then a “recovery effect” occurs during the week.
On average, the number of positive crown tests also increases: in the last seven days an average of 2806 positive tests per day were recorded. This is 62% more than the previous seven days.
Occupancy in hospitals increased. There are now 524 people with crowns in the hospital (Tuesday: 512), of which 137 in the ICU (Tuesday: 138), according to the National Patient Coordination Center.
12 dead covid patients were reported to RIVM. In the last seven days, RIVM recorded an average of 5 deaths per day, compared to 4 deaths the previous week.

What figures does Rijnmond use?
We use the figures that the RIVM publishes on this page every day at 3:15 p.m. Figures come from GGD Rotterdam-Rijnmond and GGD Zuid-Holland Zuid, but may deviate from the crown board per day.
This can be for several reasons, for example the time the figures are entered and the fact that our region consists of two GGDs. Both GGDs have a different method for determining daily figures. By using the same source every day, we have the best view of developments for several days and weeks.
