Four months after the presentation of Battlefield 2042, EA finally revealed the third and final mode of the game: Hazard Zone.

As the developer explains on their website, this is a team-based multiplayer variant. Contrary to what many had hoped, however, this is not a battle royale, but something reminiscent of Escape from Tarkov or The Division’s Dark Zone games.
Players fight each other, against computer-controlled resistance, and against the clock to find fallen satellite data disks. Teams taking a puck must try to get out by helicopter.
Each match offers two opportunities for the players to retire. The first requires you to be quick on your leg and maybe have a few more chances. The following forces all the teams that remain in the same area, in a kind of final phase.
EA points out that it is up to each player to get into the helicopter. If you fail, but the teammates leave with the first helicopter, you will have to defend the rest of the game. Those who succeed will get extra points and money to buy weapons and other equipment.
Battlefield 2042 launches on November 19 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.
Another mode allows players to design their own Battlefield games.
