The rule was promulgated by the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, through Supreme Decree No. 161-2021-PCM.
The decree contemplates the following days:
- Monday, October 11th
- Tuesday, November 2nd
- Friday, December 24th
- Monday, December 27th
- Friday, December 31st
- Monday, January 3, 2022
These non-working days are subject to compensable working hours, corresponding to the period between October 2021 and January 2022.
Hours not worked during non-working days in public entities will be compensated in the next 10 days, or in the opportunity established by the head of each entity.
In the case of private sector work centers, they may take advantage of the provisions of this measure, with the prior agreement of the employer and his workers, who must establish how the recovery of the hours left from work will be effective. to work. In the event that there is no agreement between the parties, the contractor shall decide.
As part of the Tourism Sector Reactivation Plan, the government seeks to generate a total of 14,600,000 trips and an economic movement of US $ 1.5 million, as a result of domestic tourism campaigns in the 25 regions. .
To date, 25 regions have received the Safe Travels seal from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), which certifies 52 national destinations that they do comply with international hygiene and biosafety standards.
