Respawn developers have revealed in a new stream that Apex Legends Season 9 will include “a lot” of content from its spiritual predecessor, Titanfall.
FPS fans fondly remember the Titanfall series of wild sci-fi shooters, and if you’ve played it, the similarities are easy to notice when you launch an Apex Legends game.
Both Battle Royale and FPS are made by Respawn and take place in the same universe. But according to the developers, Apex is ready to get much more content than ever from Titanfall, which will arrive in season 9.
During a panel with several Respawn developers hosted by BrownGirlGamerCode, Apex lead writer Ashley Reed talked more about the relationship between the two games and how they will integrate Titanfall with Apex in the future.
“What happens on Titanfall is a war, Apex is what happens after the war, what is life like in this place?” Reed explained. “So let’s try to frame Titanfall in that, because Titanfall is really part of the universe.”
We’ve already seen some parallels between the two games, for example, several Titanfall weapons appear on Apex and who can forget the imposing leviathans (AKA Moyais) who dominate the royal battles?
What Titanfall already has seems to be the tip of the iceberg, as Apex Legends game director Chad Grenier has promised “a ton” of season 9.
“Next season, season 9, you’ll see a ton of Titanfall play again, one way or another,” Grenier suggested.
“I’ve already told some people, if you’re a Titanfall fan, wait until season 9, because there will be some really interesting stuff.”
Viouslybviament, Grenier did not go into detail about what awaits us next season. So if in the meantime there are no leaks or new information, we’ll just have to wait and see what Titanfall fans should be so excited about when Respawn officially announces it.
Based on reported Blisk leaks, it could be higher than everyone expected
