Development of shoes for the treatment of ulceration of the foot for diabetics

VANINGTON (Reuters) – US researchers have developed a shoes for shoes that can help speed up the healing process of people with diabetes.

Sugar ulcers are usually caused by elevated blood sugar and damage to the nerve that removes feeling in the feet or toes.

The researchers used a laser to form silicone rubber in soles, and then made tanks only for oxygen at the base of the ulcer.

"The cartridge can transport oxygen for at least eight hours a day under the pressure of a person weighing 53 to 81 kg," said Hongji Jiang, a researcher at Purdue University in the United States. "It can also be adapted to accommodate Every weight.

"Oxygen dosing is one of the ways to treat these wounds, so we have set up a system that gradually releases oxygen so that the patient can move more," said Professor Babak Zei, professor at Purdue University.
