Sotheby's auction house announced on Wednesday that the pearl and diamond necklace belonged to former French Queen Marie Antoinette, which sold for $ 36,427 million to set the world record for the price of pearls.

The auction lasted about 10 minutes.

The necklace is worth eight times the estimated value of the 100 pieces of the Bourbon Parma family, which was auctioned in Geneva, including 10 pieces of jewelry by a queen who ended her life with death.
