Apparently, Manchester United has offered Juan Mata an extension of twelve months to try to prevent them from moving from the club for free.
The 30-year-old midfielder, who is out of season in summer, joined Chelsea in January 2014 for 37 million pounds and has become a favorite partner of fans to Old Trafford.
The creator of the game, which has made 208 appearances and scored 44 goals for the game Red devils, currently revolves around £ 140,000 a week, but a one-year extension will deliver £ 6.7million.
The head of the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer unit recently affirmed that talks about extensions for Anthony Martial and David de Gea are moving forward, but the United hierarchy is increasingly reluctant to offer long-term contracts for players over 30 years.
Ander Herrera, 29, Phil Jones, 26, Matteo Darmian, 29, Antonio Valencia, 33 and Ashley Young, 33, are also out of contract this summer, as Young also offers only one year more.
Mata has been strongly linked to a move to Spain but Arsenal is said to be watching closely with her situation, with Gunners head, Unai Emery, a great fan of the midfielder who has trained for three years in Valencia.
