CORONAVIRUS Michal Šipoš and Miroslav Kollár did not rule out the use of the Russian vaccine after EU approval

Opposition representatives Erik Tomáš (unclassified) from the non-parliamentary party Hlas-SD and Richard Takáč (Smer-SD) said their parties supported the vaccination, but voluntarily. Therefore, Takáč is of the opinion that, for example, when traveling, the PCR test should not be the only option. He is in favor of Slovakia also turning east in the provision of vaccines. Šipoš stressed the need to give citizens the best and safest vaccine on the market today. He recalled that enough vaccines are contracted for more than 80% of adults. He highlighted Slovakia’s vaccination strategy. “Little by little, we will open it up to young and healthy people, and then a vaccination campaign will begin.” added. Kollár believes that, in addition to purchasing vaccines, the focus should also be on the efficient operation of vaccination centers.

Šipoš sees the significance of COVID-19 disease screening tests mainly in the detection of local outbreaks. According to him, this is an alternative to a hard lock. Kollár remarked that no one could cure by testing. “We believe that testing across the area is not an efficient use of capacity at this time,” he stated. According to him, the focus is on vaccination. Tomáš and Takáč also do not admit national tests.

The Voice-SD party will begin collecting signatures for the referendum on early elections after the composition of the petitions committee. According to Takáč, Smer-SD also considers the referendum to be the only way. He stressed that he should be apolitical. According to him, the party negotiates with associations or unions. At the same time, however, he said the referendum should be “point”According to him, the above steps should also be used; Smer-SD initiates an extraordinary session of parliament in this regard. Šipoš commented that early elections mean the early release of people who served under the previous government and are currently in custody.
