Dutch food industry interest group Koninklijke Horeca Nederland (KHN) is suing the Dutch state over the total closure of the industry as a result of the crown pandemic.
– The restaurant industry goes to the forest, says the president of the organization, Rober Willemsen, on the television channel NOS.
Strict restrictions have forced the closure of restaurants, bars and cafes since October last year.
The country’s government is expected to extend the closure of the restaurant industry on Tuesday for most of March, while several other industries, such as hairdressers and some retailers, are expected to open sooner.
Something that has made the restaurant industry go to the roof and want to force the state to let them open sooner:
“Enough is enough now! We are now taking the state to court to force more support money and a reopening of our industry,” Willemsen said in a press release.
