The research was conducted by academic staff from the MCBU School of Medicine, Department of Infectious Diseases, Public Health and Medical Microbiology. One thousand 53 people participated in the vaccine “Immune response to the vaccine Sinovac (Coronavac) – Faculty of Medicine of the University Manisa Celal Bayar”, conducted with volunteer health workers from the hospital MCBU.
Samples were taken from all health workers at least 28 days (of 939 participants) and at least 28 days (of 771 participants) after the second vaccination. The immunity rate was 25.3% after 28 days of the first dose and 97.92% after 28 days of the second vaccine. When gender-based immunity was examined, it was noted that, although a sufficient percentage of immunity was provided in both genders, a significantly higher immunological response to the vaccine was obtained in women compared to men. . The effective antibody response was found to be 29.5% in women after the first vaccination; 18.6 percent of men; 99.2 percent of women after the second vaccination; It was recorded in 95.7% in men.
