The Central Bank published the results of the "Waiting Survey", which included 65 people from the real sector and from the financial and professional sector.
MONTHLY SPECTACULATION OF INFLATION
Consumer inflation expectations (CPI) for May 2019 were 1.12 percent in the previous period of the survey and 1.48 percent in this survey period. The CPI's expectation in June was 0.88 percent and 1.10 percent for the same survey periods, respectively. The CPI's expectation in July was 0.96 percent.
ANNUAL EXPECTATION OF INFLATION
While the CPI forecast for the end of the current survey was 16.23 percent in the previous period of the survey, it increased to 16.68 percent during this survey period. The CPI forecast for the twelve months before in the previous survey period was 15.38 percent, this period was 15.48 percent. The waiting for the IPC after 24 months was 12.06 percent and 12.34 percent respectively in the same survey periods.
EXCHANGE RATE FOR EXCHANGE
Although the exchange rate expectation for the end of 2019 (US $ / TL) was 6.20 TL during the previous period of the survey, it increased to 6.43 TL during the survey period. The expected exchange rate after 12 months was 6.43 TL and 6.68 TL, respectively.
EXPECTATIONS OF GROWTH OF GDP
While GDP growth was 0.6 percent in the previous period of the survey, it was 0.3 percent in this period of surveys. Growth expectations for the year 2020 were 2.9 percent and 2.8 percent, respectively, in the same survey periods.
