Installation of the first stone for the opening of the water project (WAM)
The UAE launched a strategic water project in the Al-Qataba area to the Al-Khokha Department of the Al-Hodeidah province, in the context of the Its quick response to meet the needs of the west coast of Yemen.
The project included the rehabilitation and processing of an artisan well, a 100,000-liter water tank and a 36,000-meter water network with a solar bus and an integrated solar system. "This strategic project, supervised by the Commission, is one of the most important projects that are being implemented at Al-Khokha Management to reduce the suffering of families suffering from clean water," said Mohamed Al- Junaibi, Director of Humanitarian Affairs for the Red Crescent Society of the UAE in Yemen.
For his part, Mohammed Yahya Abdul Salam, general director of Al-Khokha Director, President of the local Council, said that the UAE implemented a large number of projects in the areas of health, education, water and electricity, including all the towns and districts of the Directorate, noting that the water project "Alqataba" will serve more than 15 thousand people from Children in the region.
