MOSCOW, November 8. / Tass /. About a hundred fans of the football club Spartak Moscow arrived at a meeting with former head coach of the Italian national team Massimo Carrera at Sheremetyevo Airport. This is reported by the TASS correspondent on the scene.
The fans started gathering at a meeting that Carrera announced two hours before the start. The coach wanted to rejoice with the fans again and thank them before flying home.
First, the mourners gathered in the street and, waiting for the Italians, singing singers in support of him. The former coach and his wife arrived at the terminal E with a slight delay and immediately entered the tight ring of the fans. The coach gave autographs for some time and liked to paint with the fans. In order to register, Carrera even needed police help – a specialist followed the specially built corridor necessary procedures before departure.
At the airport, the fans started a banner that already knew the games of the Russian champions with the words "Massimo, grazie per tutto, e stato, perfetto" ("Massimo, thanks to everyone, that was perfect"). After that, the participants moved to the departure area of the terminal, where an improvised meeting was held.
Carrera went to fans and singing "A Tutti! Avanti! Massimo Carrera!" ("Together! Forward! Massimo Carrera!") About half an hour dedicated to autographs and photographs. The mourners devoted to the former coach and other singers waved red and white scarves.
The fans did not want to allow Carrera, less than an hour before departure, so that the Italian, again thanks to everyone and waving his hand, continued to control the passport.
"We will let Carrera"
Together with the Italian coach, fans of "Spartacus" survived many pleasant moments. It was under his leadership that Red and White 16 years later became the champions of Russia again, won the Super Bowl of the country, defeated Spanish "Sevilla" in the Champions League with a score of 5: 1.
But the start of this season was not set – the team could not return to the group phase of the Champions League, and the unsuccessful series of domestic matches in the Russian Premier League drove Spartak from leading positions. At the same time, Carrera's conflict with Captain Denis Glushakov developed, which was removed from work with the main team.
At the end of October, the board of directors of the Moscow club decided to release Carrera from the job as head coach. Two days after his resignation, the 54-year-old Italian, on his own initiative, held a press conference to answer journalist questions and did not limit himself to addressing everyone in social networks.
The Spartakus trainer was appointed for Spanish Raul Rianch, who was part of the Italian specialist's headquarters. Immediately, Gusak was returned to the first team. This decision-line is upset by the active fans of Spartacus, who from the stands beside domestic matches drag and defy the club's president Leonid Fedun, Ryanch and Glushakov. These are their fans who are guilty of retiring their beloved coach.
"Of course, we will miss Massimo," said Ivan fan at the airport's meeting "With him, he made a lot of success, there were victories. Whoever is guilty of this, you know, he's back, but I do not think it's possible in these things."
