The German automotive brand Mercedes does not have to be presented and advertised, because this car has long become the standard of reliability and comfort. Many Ukrainian auto enthusiasts are satisfied with the purchase of Mercedes because the price of a new car is too high. It is not cheap and maintenance of the used Mercedes, since the car with mileage requires financial investments.
The Diesel Scandal forced German auto designers to focus on creating environmentally friendly cars. Autobuilders are aware that in a few years the fate of diesel engines will repeat petrol engines. In addition to the development of electric cars, Mercedes specialists have been engaged in creating hybrid car models, and now they can boast of a new compact crossover with a hybrid power plant that consists of hydrogen and electric motors.
The first crossovers have already been complemented by the national and regional ministries of Germany, as well as some large companies, such as German Air Likuide, Linde AG and others, have received cars. In free-selling cars will appear in the spring of 2019.
The new Mercedes GLC F-Cell is equipped with a unique hybrid drive unit that does not pollute the environment at all. Water vapor exits from the exhaust pipe of such an engine. Under the cross-floor there are two carbon fiber fibers, which can contain up to 4.4 liters of hydrogen. At one charge, the car can cover 430 kilometers, and in hybrid mode, the car will be able to drive 498 kilometers. Lithium-Ion battery 13.5 kV / h is powered by a 208 horsepower electric motor. It takes 1.5 hours to fully charge the battery. Charging hydrogen is possible only at a specialized hydrogen plant.
In addition to the hybrid mode, the crossover can also work in three other ways:
- F-Cell, when only hydrogen is involved;
- Rechargeable when the car only works on a battery;
- Charging when charging a battery is a priority.
The new Mercedes GLC F-Cell is available only in major German cities such as Berlin, Munich, Dusseldorf, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Cologne. Users of the company can rent GLC burners on a long-term and short-term basis.
