11 Russian companies, including Rossotrudnichestvo, fell under the Ukrainian sanctions of the SNB.

Ukraine’s new sanctions against Russian companies are an example of “disregard for international law and common sense,” said Vyacheslav Volodin, chairman of the Russian State Duma on April 4.

“Sanctions by the Kiev authorities against Russian citizens and businesses have become an example of disregard for international law and common sense. Ukraine imitates its bosses as best it can,” Volodin wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also stressed that sanctions against Rossotrudnichestvo, “whose significance lies in the development of international humanitarian cooperation, is an unprecedented case.”

Volodin said Russian deputies will discuss retaliatory measures with the Russian Foreign Ministry and Rossotrudnichestvo.

Recall that Rossotrudnichestvo recently called Taras Shevchenko a “Russian-Ukrainian” writer.
