The International Monetary Fund is in favor of setting a gas market price for the population. This was announced by the permanent representative of the IMF in Ukraine Jost Lyungman at the International Conference on Investments organized by Concorde Capital, Ukraine reports.
Lyngman said the IMF is continuing to insist on establishing a gas market price for the population. At the same time, he noted that if global gas prices are falling, the IMF is not opposed to falling prices in Ukraine.
However, with the rise in world prices, as noted by the IMF representative, it is necessary to raise them in Ukraine.
Earlier, Strana wrote that Russia could stop gas transit through Ukraine without launching North Stream-2.
We also reported that the Zelensky team did not want to solve the problem with the "at any price" gas transportation system.
