TMZ informed earlier this morning that Ric Flair was transferred to a hospital in the Atlanta area after experiencing a medical emergency. TMZ was not able to provide a specific update on what happened with Flair, but described the situation as "very serious."
Contrary to this report, prosecutor Conrad Thompson of Starrcast (the son-in-law of Flair, through his marriage to Meghan Fliehr) Claimed in a mid-afternoon call (Credit to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful for the following notes) that the situation "is not so serious or serious", since TMZ had informed that it was. Thompson also claimed that hospitalization was for a procedure that Flair chose before traveling to Las Vegas for the weekend of Starrcast.
Thompson did not offer any comment on the specific aspects of the procedure, but said that Flair and his family knew that the procedure was ready.
Thompson added, "Ric was not worried about that. Ric did not think that this was going to be informed neither to TMZ. All systems go."
Flair must be the "guest of honor" for a special roast within the framework of the Starrcast weekend, which will take place in Las Vegas the night prior to AEW Double or Nothing.
